If you didn't already know May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we sat down with Georgia Perry to discuss how she navigates positive thinking and her wellbeing.

Whether it's going on a walk, grabbing a coffee, or sending a gift that nurtures the mind, body, and soul, a little gesture can go a long way in showing we care.

What’s a daily practice that helps your mind, body, and soul?
I walk for around an hour every morning, usually with my dog and my toddler in her pram.
I love routine, so this simple daily practice helps me start the day and clears my mind.
Fresh morning air is always a positive thing! And being an Illustrator, I do a lot of sitting down / desk work so I feel much better when I get some movement in first thing.

In light of mental health awareness month, what advice do you share with your family, friends and followers to help those who may need a positive boost.
My approach is definitely "a problem shared is a problem halved"
I know it can be really difficult, but if you're struggling I always find talking about it helps.

This could be with a partner, friend or counsellor.
Mental health struggles can feel really isolating, but the more you talk about it the more you'll realise that you're not alone and there is a way through.

Do you have any tips to help those starting their meditation journey?
I think people often feel that they don't have time to meditate, or that meditation / mindfulness is just another thing you have to "do" when really it can be as simple as doing...nothing.

Just stay right where you are. Close your eyes. Focus on your breathing. Breathe in for four seconds, hold for four seconds, breathe out for four seconds. See? You just did it!

How do these cards help individuals with their mental health?
I want to show people that looking after your mind and body doesn't need to be difficult or complicated, so Rise & Shine is just a really simple way to do that.
Pulling even just one card and following the prompt is a beautiful way to take a pause from your day and regroup your mind and body.
