Black Friday Sale

How long is the sale running? 

Our Black Friday Sale will run from 8:30am on Thursday 24 November, through to midnight on Monday the 28th of November. 

What are the conditions of the sale? 

We are offering 40% off orders placed during the sale time, which are valued over $75. This sale is not available in conjunction with any other offer. 

When will my order be shipped? 

All orders placed during week days will be despatched the same day. Orders placed over the weekend will be despatched on Monday 28 November. 

How will my orders be packed? 

All gifts placed in the same order will be included in one package - e.g. if you order several bundles to the same address, these will arrive in one pack. 

 

Delivery

What will be your cut off date for Christmas deliveries? 

We typically pack and despatch orders on the same day they are placed and will do our best to ensure your gift arrives in time for Christmas. To be safe, we suggest placing your order by the following dates: 

Standard/Parcel post (excludes WA and NT) - order by 11 December
Express post (excludes WA and NT) - order by 18 December
Standard/Parcel post WA and NT - order by 6 December
Express post WA and NT - order by 13 December

How do I know when my delivery has arrived?

We will provide you with a tracking number for your delivery at time of despatch from our Melbourne warehouse. You can use this to track your delivery so you'll know when to receive the 'you're the best' text. 

Which days do you deliver?

We deliver Monday to Friday. 

How much does delivery cost?

We offer a few different options based on your needs. 

Same day - we only offer this in Metro Melbourne at the moment, with plans to open this up down the track. 

Express - 1-4 business days from ordering. Prices will vary based on the size of your gift and the delivery address. 

Standard - 2-8 business days. We deliver through Australia Post so you are in their capable hands. Prices will vary based on the size of your gift and the delivery address. 

Do you deliver to apartments?

Yes. If your delivery is to an apartment we recommend you check first if someone will be home to accept the delivery.

Does someone need to be home to receive their gift?

We don’t require a signature for delivery as we add an authority to leave on all deliveries, and our couriers will often leave the gift somewhere safe if noone is there to accept them. We trust our drivers to keep your order safe and provide them with training covering what to do in the event someone isn’t home like tuck the box in a safe spot, ensure it can’t be seen from the footpath, leave with the concierge or mailroom etc. Worst case from there, it will be taken to the local post office with a card left.

How do you choose your products?

We spend a lot of time sourcing, testing and gifting (giving and receiving), so you can be assured our selection, while not huge, is curated for gifting and will be regularly refreshed.

Why so many books?

We love books and think they make the perfect gift. Matching a book with your recipient takes some thought - makes it meaningful - so we love being able to faciliate that for you. Knowing the book industry better than most we also have our finger on the pulse with what's coming out and which books make the perfect gift. 

 

Ordering

Applying discount codes and coupons

Sign up to our newsletter in the footer to get 10% off your first order. If you’ve got a discount or coupon code you’d like to use, you can enter it in the coupon box at checkout, at the ‘review your cart’ section. If you’re having trouble getting your code to work be sure to check the terms and conditions of your offer and the expiration date. Remember you can only use one coupon at a time. Unfortunately, if you forget to add a code we cannot refund this retrospectively.

Can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order within 24 hours of the delivery date by reaching out to our Customer Care team and we will give you a full refund. If it is the day of delivery and your gift hasn’t left we can cancel your order and offer credit. We cannot cancel your order if it has already been dispatched.

My purchase is a gift, will the invoicing details be included? 

Handsel's primary purpose is to offer great gift options for you. We will email the invoice to the email you include at checkout, but don't include any billing or invoice details in the box. 

Can I ship multiple gifts in one transaction? 

We are unable to seperate orders into multiple delivery locations, so if you order multiple items (gift boxes or single products) in one transaction these will be assumed to be one gift, and therefore packaged into one gift box. If you have multiple gifts to send, we suggest doing this by creating a different order for each gift so we can provide accurate shipping and delivery updates.
